I just bought myself a nice, clean, fresh pad of paper at our hotel's convenience store. I find the experience of a well timed purchase of a pad a paper, no matter how simple and basic or cheap, extremely satisfying. And when I say "well timed," I'm referring to the restraint required in order to pass by all the paper-purchasing opportunities each of us encounters on a daily basis. I am aware that most people have such strong resistance to this urge, that they are indeed unaware of any attraction at all. I, however, have a weakness. And like all weaknesses, a timely indulgence can be oh so fun.

My new pad of paper, though humble to look at, brings a smile to my face, and, it is on said pad which I now write to you.

I've had an afternoon sleepiness all day. I think I woke up with it. This evening we played at Scullers here in Boston, and now I'm in my room admiring the view of the Charles River and the lights of the city.

Yesterday afternoon I saw the steady traffic of a fleet of crewers row by.

This day was the second of three which we'll spend in this city. Making it my longest stay thus far in Boston and giving me a better opportunity to get to know her.
