It's been a great little tour so far. The new material has become much more comfortable and our last two shows in Pennsylvania were especially fun. The audiences were incredibly dynamic: great listeners but super enthusiastic as well.

We'd never done what we would consider to be a real show in Philadelphia before. The Electric Factory was a good room with a ton of history. The long hallway and some of the rooms backstage were nearly covered with framed posters of shows that had come to the Factory, even going back to the 60s.
Yesterday we had a day off here in Charlottesville, VA. I slept in too late and wasted the day away, but afternoon was cool and the evening dew felt fine as the chill grew.

Mindy Smith has been opening for us for most of the shows. She is great. Lex Price is playing mandolin with her and the two of them are a pleasure to hear.

Last night some of us went out to dinner together, and then we all met up to play billiards. It was a fun night. Mindy and Lex are good.

Got some CD's at Plan 9 records - and now it's time to check out of the hotel and get a ride to the Performing Arts Center where we'll play tonight.
