Feb 20, 2004 Hello Everyone! Work is still in progress. We've done substantial construction and reconstruction to six songs that we feel like are now in a solid place. But I wouldn't be surprised if, upon reexamination, we tear into them again and perform more surgery. My parents came up to see the new house today! They brought with them all kinds of bbq side dishes and what is arguably the best salsa in the world from a little Tatoria in Vista, we threw some Hebrew Nationals on the grill and had a grand old time. Dad helped us set up the last of the IKEA furniture - a dining room table - and then we played them all the new songs. It's helpful to play songs for friends and family before actually performing them on stage. There are always a lot of hidden bugs to get out in the first performance, but they seem to be substantially minimized when we fake the buggers out with practice performances. And all our parents give good feedback. |
