Nickel Creek will take a break AFTER 2007 tour
Message from the Band
Dearest Listener,
After seven years of extensive touring in support of three records (seventeen years as a band), we've decided to take a break of indefinite length at the end of 2007 to preserve the environment we've sought so hard to create and to pursue other interests.   It has been a pleasure to write, record, and perform for you through the years and we'd like to heartily thank you for your invaluable contribution to our musical lives.

Yours,

Nickel Creek
(Sean, Sara, and Chris)

Nickel Creek and Fiona Apple Hit the Road Today
Nickel Creek hits the road today with visionary singer/songwriter Fiona Apple for their "Farewell (For Now) Tour". The 14 date tour will run from today's show in Baltimore, MD and wrap August 19 in Westbury, NY. Check out the full itinerary.

Chris, Sara and Sean met and Fiona several years ago in Los Angeles, and started playing together at the club Largo - an intimate and magnetic music club that has become legendary for stellar lineups and surprise appearances.

We need video of the collaboration! Post videos of Fiona on stage with Nickel Creek to YouTube, and we'll feature the best ones on nickelcreek.com and the Nickel Creek myspace page. Email links to your videos to us at admin@qprime.com

For the August dates, fans will be treated to an expansion of those collaborations developed at Largo. Naturally, material will be pulled from Nickel Creek's and Fiona Apple's catalogues, but fans can also expect to hear anything from pop standards to country classics to modern rock covers. One of the most exciting aspects is that Apple's presentation will be unique in that she will rely on Nickel Creek for back up during her set!

Make sure you've got the goods before you head out to the shows. Check out the Nickel Creek web store for 2007 tour items and new shirts!

We look forward to seeing all of you out on the road this month!
